Erica Hermanthe former girlfriend of golf superstarTiger Woods, has filed a lawsuit against a homestead trust controlled by Woods in Hobe Sound, Florida.
The lawsuit claims that the trust and its agents misappropriated $40,000 cash that belonged to Herman and made “scurrilous and defamatory allegations about how she obtained the money.” She is seeking damages of more than $30 million.
Herman, who dated Woods for almost five years, has been a constant spectator at golf events whenever Woods was competing since their first public appearance at the President’s Cup in 2017.
The couple made their first non-golf public appearance at the 2022 US Open, where they were seen supporting Serena Williams from the stands.

Herman’s career has primarily been in the restaurant industry. She worked as a bartender and was eventually named VIP manager at the Blue Martini Lounge. In August 2015, she became the general manager of Tiger Woods’ flagship restaurant, The Woods Jupiter, where she began working directly with Woods.
After months of rehab from a car crash, Woods returned to golf in December 2021, playing in the PNC Championship with his son. Cheering from the sidelines was Herman, along with Woods’ daughter and ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. However, their relationship ended in October 2022, when Woods allegedly locked her out of the seaside mansion they shared on the Treasure Coast.
Herman’s lawsuit is based on the Speak Out Act, which President Joe Biden signed into law in December. The law states that non-disclosure and non-disparagement documents are not enforceable when sexual assault and/or sexual harassment comes after such agreements are entered into.
Herman’s lawsuit has put the spotlight on her relationship with Woods, which was low-key compared to his previous relationships with Lindsey Vonn and his very public marriage and divorce from Elin Nordegren.
