An Australian family got a big scare last weekend when a five-meter (16-foot) long python appeared on the roof of their house. The events occurred in the town of Ipswich, Queensland.
The family was having breakfast when they heard a noise in the kitchen.
When they went to investigate, they found the huge snake coiled in a nearby tree.
The family called emergency services, who came to the home and captured the snake. The python was taken to a wildlife recovery center.
According to experts, pythons are common animals in Australia and are usually harmless to humans, as well as being non-venomous species.
However, large snakes can pose a danger, especially to young children.
