After one weekend without any action,Formula One is back and this time the sport is leaving Europe.
The Grand Circus will pitch up in Singapore for a weekend full of action. It will be a huge test of endurance for the drivers as this race is always the longest that they spend racing, thanks to the length of the lap in Singapore and the way the lap count has to be adjusted.
Last time out, the racers were in Italy, racing at Monza. It was Max Verstappen who came out on top there, with Red Bull teammate Checo Perez behind him. Despite starting on pole position, Carlos Sainz ended in third, with Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc behind him.
When is the Singapore Grand Prix?
The Singapore GP will be following the conventional weekend schedule rather than the sprint schedule. That means we have three practise sessions, one qualifying session and then the race.
- Things will get underway at 11:30 CEST (10:30 BST) on Friday, September 15 with FP1. FP2 gets underway on the same day at 14:00 CEST (13:00 BST).
- Saturday, September 16 sees FP3 in the morning at 10:30 CEST, before the competitive action begins with qualifying over one hour from 14:00-15:00 CEST.
- With the grid being decided there, the marathon race under the lights will get underway at 13:00 CEST on Sunday, September 17.
How to watch the Singapore Grand Prix?
For fans in the United Kingdom who want to watch the race, Sky Sports will be showing it live, whilst there will be an extended highlights package on Channel 4.
