The Longhorns and Bulldogs have met just four times. Texas won the first two head-to-head games: 54-7 in 1921 and 38-11 in the 1998 Cotton Bowl. Mississippi State won the next two, 13-6 in 1991 and 28-10 in 1992.
Texas joined the SEC this year after 27 years in the Big 12, and the Bulldogs will welcome them to the conference.
