The 2024 Dallas Cowboys cheerleading team has officially been announced, following the success of their Netflix series America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
The show, which premiered earlier this year, documented the intense and emotional journey of aspiring cheerleaders as they competed for a spot on the iconic team ahead of the new NFL season.
From the rigorous auditions to the challenges of training camp, the series gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to become a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Millions tuned in, eagerly awaiting the final reveal of the 2024 lineup.
The newly revealed team features 24 returning veterans and 10 new members. One of the standout new cheerleaders is California native Charly Barby, who was a fan favorite throughout the series.
After narrowly missing out on a spot in 2023, Barby kept her promise to return this year and secure her place on the team.
“Best day of my life. My literal dream come true… This organization means the absolute world to me.” Barby posted on Instagram.
Another comeback story is that of Kelly Villares, who, like Barby, was cut during the 2023 season but earned her place on the 2024 squad.
“Someone needs to pinch me. I am so honored to be a part of this team alongside these incredible women. My lifelong dream came true today,” Villares added.

The series is full of dramatic moments and individual journeys
The series also followed some difficult moments, including the journey of Sophy Laufer, who shared her experience of being inappropriately touched by a cameraman during a Cowboys game.
Despite wanting to press charges, the lack of evidence prevented law enforcement from moving forward, as reported by MSNBC. Laufer’s perseverance and professionalism led to her securing a spot on the 2024 squad.
Among the other returning cheerleaders are Camille Sturdivant, Brooklyn Davis, Kennedy Hannan, McKenna Gehrke, Anna Kate Sundvold, and many more, each bringing experience and excitement to the upcoming season.
The 2024 squad also welcomes 10 new cheerleaders, including notable names like former Denver Nuggets dancer Sophia Brown and Maddie Krueger, the 2023 Miss Dance of Texas. Joining them are Allison Khong, Darah Haidet, Ariel Brumfield, Julissa Garcia, Trinity Miles, Ava Lahey, Abby Summers, and Michelle Siemienowski.
