Unfortunately for MLB, the new uniforms are getting terrible reviews not only from fans, but players as well. According to The Athletic’s Stephen Nesbitt, a couple of Los Angeles Angels players despise them.

“They look cheap”
“I feel like I’m wearing someone else’s pants”
Baseball fans are even more upset about them, and they don’t even have to wear them. Many feel that the lettering is too small, making it extremely difficult to read names. The general sentiment is that they don’t appear authentic.
Some players have even complained to Nike directly and with their own players union as well. This won’t be the last time we hear about this throughout spring training and into the regular season.
Rob Manfred announces he will step down in 2029
During a press conference on Thursday, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred defended the jerseys, claiming they will be very popular once people start wearing them.
Manfred also made an important announcement, saying that he will step down from his role once his contract runs out in 2029. Baseball fans have been adamant that Manfred is hurting the game, but they will have to endure him for several more seasons.
