Dr. Gary Linkov, a plastic surgeon from New York City, has sparked discussions on social media with claims that pop star Justin Bieber might have undergone a hair transplant.
Using his TikTok platform, Dr. Linkov presented evidence to support his theory, pointing out noticeable changes in Bieber‘s hairline over the past few years.
Dr. Linkov shared two key images that highlight a significant transformation in Bieber‘s hairline, which he suggests could only be achieved through surgical intervention.
The first image, taken at the Super Bowl in Inglewood, California in 2022, shows Bieber with a closely shaved head. In contrast, a more recent photo from one of his 2024 concerts reveals a full head of hair with a straight and even hairline.
Another image that Bieber shared earlier this week shows his hair surprisingly full, with a perfectly straight and uniform hairline.
Dr. Linkov commented on this photo, saying, “When I look at his forehead, much flatter now, it lacks the recession it once had. Also, when the hair is wet, you can notice the regularity of the hairline, which suggests that he might have had a transplant.”
Dr. Linkov further explained his observations: “He started wearing all these hats in 2022 and covers his hair so it would be difficult to know what was happening. Remember, hair transplants can take up to a year, maybe a year and a half, to see the final results.”
Evidence of a Transformation
Adding to the discussion, fellow physician Dr. Jim Harris noted changes in Bieber‘s hairline compared to previous years.
“In a 2023 photo, I notice that Justin’s hairline appears flatter. A few years before that, in 2018, he had a definite recession, a very scalloped front line. Now it’s flatter on his forehead, much more linear,” Dr. Harris explained.
According to their estimates, Bieber might have had up to 1,800 follicles transplanted, which is significantly more than the typical range of 500 to 1,500 usually involved in such procedures.
The speculation about Bieber‘s hair transplant highlights not only the personal decisions of public figures but also the pressures and expectations placed on them regarding their appearance.
