The Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills face off in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this Sunday at Highmark Stadium in New York.
The last time this happened was in the 2020 AFC Divisional Round. MVP candidates Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen have the opportunity to make a statement and get another shot to take down the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs next week at the AFC Championship game.
“It’s like Allen and Jackson have become the rivalry that it is in the highly anticipated fight this upcoming weekend, because all of us are thinking, which one of these guys is going to finally get over the hump, and I’m eager to watch it,” ESPN’s Pat McAfee said. “What a perfect stage for the NFL to have.”

Game will be played under chilly conditions
One thing is for sure: the Bills and the Ravens will be playing under chilly conditions, with the game kicking off at 6:30 p.m. ET. While there is only a 20 percent chance of snow during the day, according to the National Weather Service, that chance increases to 50 percent at night.
The cold temperature didn’t bother Baltimore Ravens’ tight end Mark Andrews and cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who took the field sleeveless and seemed chilled and focused for one of the most important games of their careeers. The snow forecast will become clearer as kickoff approaches.

Heaters warmed Bills turf field underneath a tarp for hours as workers shoveled off ice/snow. Sunday’s high temperature is forecasted to be 21 degrees, and it figures to be under 20 when the game kicks off.
An historic matchup for a chance to get to the Super Bowl
The two MVP favorites are facing off in the first playoff matchup in NFL history between quarterbacks who each had 40+ touchdowns and fewer than 10 giveaways in the regular season and were the only two to do so. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are 2-2 all-time against each other, including playoffs. The two also have gone back-and-forth for most career rushing yards in the playoffs.

NFL Network’s Peter Schrager called on the audience watching this game to appreciate this game for what it is, saying that it should be “Josh and Lamar week” instead of “Josh versus Lamar” and Ryan Fitzpatrick said that all eyes are going to be on this game on Sunday night.
On Friday morning’s Get Up on ESPN, analyst and former NFL Safety Ryan Clark said that this game is a career-defining game for both quarterbacks. “It’s not about who’s the MVP,” Clark said. “It’s about who shows up best for their team in that moment.”
