A few months ago, Nikita Hand, a woman who accused Conor McGregor and another individual of sexual assault at a Dublin hotel in 2018, was awarded 250,000 euros in compensation after a court ruling found the fighter guilty of abuse.

McGregor was found to have raped her
The lawyers of the woman sexually assaulted by MMA fighter Conor McGregor in a Dublin hotel room in 2018 are seeking a court order to prevent the MMA fighter from publishing or disseminating the CCTV footage shown in court.
Last November, a jury in a civil action brought by Nikita Hand found that McGregor raped her at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin on December 9, 2018, and awarded her almost 250,000 euros in damages.
The case was due to return to court on Thursday, when Judge Alexander Owens was due to finalise the issue of costs and address comments made by McGregor on social media after the case concluded.
However, lawyer Siun Leonowicz, representing Hand, told Judge Owens that she was seeking permission to notify McGregor’s lawyers of Hand’s intention to apply for the injunction.
The matter relates to CCTV footage shown to the jury during the trial showing Ms Hand, Mr McGregor and their friends Danielle Kealy and James Lawrence in the car park of the Beacon Hotel and in the lift at various points on December 9, 2018.
McGregor’s contractual situation with UFC remains uncertain
The controversy has been further fueled by McGregor retweeting a post from a well-known Irish news account which posed the question: “Why would someone who claims to be a victim want evidence hidden? I guess the evidence doesn’t support their story.” This statement has generated a wave of reactions on social media and has exacerbated the public debate.

Although he still has a contract in place that binds him to two more fights, the cancellation of his fight last June and the scarcity of news about his sporting future fuels speculation about a possible retirement from the octagon
