The Mahomes family has expanded quickly in recent years. At 29 years old each, Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany now have three children. They announced early this week that they gave birth to a second daughter, named Golden Raye, who joins Sterling (3 years old) and Bronze (2) in the family.
Fate was on Patrick’s side this time around, as Golden Raye arrived during a bye week for him and the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick would surely love to spend more time with his newborn, but he must prepare for a playoff game this Saturday. Head coach Andy Reid will have his guys ready, like he always does, but he couldn’t keep himself from commenting on Patrick’s situation.

Reid made a funny comment about Patrick and the Mahomes family, imploring them to keep pumping out babies.
He came in as Patrick 2PM, now he’s Patrick 3PM. Once you have three, four and five are easy. That’s what I told him. You made three, add a couple more, we’ll talk.
Reid has five children, so he knows exactly what he’s talking about. His oldest son, Garrett, tragically died of a heroin overdose in 2012. He has two other sons and two daughters. Andy has been married to Tammy Reid since 1981.
That type of healthy and lengthy marriage with kids is the type of life Patrick and Brittany clearly want for each other. With two daughters in the fold, Patrick might be pining for another son next time around.
