The mysteries around Conor McGregor’s next fight
Michael Chandler didn’t want to wait any longer to fight Conor McGregor and accepted a bout against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 to return after a two-year absence. The Irishman no longer had the option of Chandler, and put the names of Dustin Poirier and Belal Muhammad on the table, but neither wants to step into the octagon with McGregor.
Conor McGregor was present at the pre-BKFC weigh-in ceremony in Spain, where he had to intervene to break up a fight between the two fighters. In true McGregor style, he enjoyed the moment and lifted the vacant belt the only way he knows how.
But McGregor made some revelations at the ceremony: “You’re having bad conversations trying to get a boxing match at 155. I’m on your side, you fight bare-knuckle. McGregor, Mayweather, 170 pounds, come on baby, take the gloves off and fight!”
When asked about the fights he would like to see between MMA and boxing, McGregor emphasized that he is ready to fight anyone.
