Each edition of the New York Marathon leaves different stories, contrasts and unique stories. In this edition, American athlete Connor Strynkowski stood out, surprising many by running the Big Apple’s marathon with his bib attached to his skin.
This was immortalized by some marathon runners and fans, during a run he did without a shirt, something that ‘pin skin man’, as he calls himself on social networks, usually does. In fact, Strynkowski, who runs with the New York Harriers team, has competed in other races without a shirt and with the bib, which is mandatory, pinned to his skin.
Despite what could be an inconvenience for any runner in such a tough race as the marathon, Strynkowski crossed the finish line in a time of 2:38:16, at an average of 3:45 per kilometer. He finished in 301st place overall, while he was 94th in the age group (M30) classification.
