Shakira is officially back in the dating pool, with reports coming out that the Colombian singer and songwriter has a new boyfriend.
Although it appears they are only casually dating, Shakira and British actor Lucien Laviscount are now a couple. The two met while filming the music video for Shakira’s new song with Cardi B, ‘Punteria’.
Who is Lucien Laviscount?
Laviscount plays an important role in the video, and the two struck up a relationship after their time together on set.
The British actor is primarily known for his work on Emily in Paris as Alfie. He has been in a couple of movies and shows since then.
According to an insider with Daily Mail, “Shakira is desperate to fall in love“. That could be her angle with Laviscount, “but her friends are concerned“. They believe the actor is using Shakira to gain more fame.
Her friends fear he just wants people to know his name and she provides that. They are seeing each other but are not heavily involved yet.
That’s a relief to Shakira’s entourage, who are just looking out for the 47-year-old’s best interests following her split from Gerard Pique.
