Paige Spiranac has criticized the claims that she would undress if Rickie Fowler were to win a Major tournament.
Fowler, aged 34, had an impressive start to his 2023 US Open campaign. Teaming up with Xander Schauffele, the American duo shot a remarkable 62 in the opening round, matching the lowest-ever score in a Major set in 2017.
As a result of a false tweet that had previously circulated, fans bombarded Paige‘s direct messages (DMs). The tweet in question appeared to be authored by the 30-year-old herself, stating, ” I’ll do a boob reveal when Rickie Fowler wins a Major.”
In response to the social media users pestering her, Paige addressed the fabricated tweet.
“A meme account posted a fake tweet a while ago and now people are blowing up my DMs!” Paige wrote.
“This is not true so don’t get your hopes up.
“But I did pick Rickie as a long shot so at least I have that going for me lol.”
Yet, Paige was already aware that the aforementioned fabricated tweet could “haunt” her in the future.
“This is going to haunt me. A couple of years ago this fake meme came out,” she said in an Instagram Q&A.
“It was a picture of me with a quote that said ‘if Rickie wins I will let the girls come out and play’. Not true.
“I get tagged in so much Rickie stuff and I’m surprised he has not blocked me.
“It’s all fake, not true, not real and that meme needs to just disappear forever, be deleted.”
