Hugh Jackman sent shockwaves through his fan base after revealing that he underwent two biopsies due to the risk of suffering from basal cell carcinoma, which is a form of skin cancer.
However, Jackman took to social media to announce that the tests came back negative and warned his followers about the dangers of being exposed in the sun in summer.
“Thank you ALL for the love. I feel it! And to the media for helping get this very important message out,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Please remember to wear sunscreen with a high level of spf (no matter the season). Love. HJ.”
The spots that ‘may or may not’ be skin cancer
On Tuesday, the actor appeared in a video recorded at his home in which he indicated that he had undergone two biopsies. His doctor had detected two small dots that “may or may not” be signs of the disease. Since 2013, Jackman has undergone surgery up to six times to remove these carcinomas.
