Following the death of Matthew Perry, fans of ‘Friends’ have been sharing clips of his performances in the show.
There are so many in which Perry stood out as Chandler, but one stands above all others and that’s the final scene from the final episode.
The scene shows Monica and Chandler‘s flat as empty and, after an awkward silence between the friends who don’t want to say goodbye, there is a legendary line from Chandler when they decide to go for coffee.
“Where?” Chandler asks, joking about the fact that so much of the show is spent in the Central Perk coffee shop.
That is the last line of the entire show, highlighting the importance of Perry‘s character.
A tribute to Matthew Perry from ‘Friends’
The official ‘Friends’ Twitter account shared its own tribute to Matthew Perry on Sunday.
“We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry‘s passing,” they wrote.
“He was a true gift to us all. Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans.”
