Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has plenty to celebrate, as he not only secured his second Olympic gold medal with Team USA by defeating France in the Paris Olympics finals but also became a father for the second time.
Tatum and his girlfriend, singer Ella Mai, introduced their newborn during a family photo shoot to commemorate his Olympic win.
Family photo shoot revealed new baby
In a video shared online, Jayson Tatum posed alongside Ella Mai, who was seen holding their newborn baby.
The couple was joined by Tatum‘s mother, grandmother, and his eldest son, Jayson “Deuce” Tatum Jr., whom he shares with his high school girlfriend, Toriah Lachell.
Another part of the video showed Mai holding the infant while Tatum took solo photos with Deuce.
Couple were able to keep their pregnancy private
Jayson Tatum and Ella Mai have been notoriously private about their relationship and personal lives.
The couple managed to keep Mai‘s pregnancy out of the public eye until she revealed her baby bump while celebrating Tatum‘s 2024 NBA Finals win in June.
Despite their secrecy, the couple has shared occasional glimpses of their life together.
Tatum and Mai were first romantically linked in 2019 when Mai was spotted courtside at one of Tatum‘s basketball games.
However, the couple has consistently avoided discussing their relationship publicly. During a 2022 appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Ella Mai dodged questions about her rumored relationship with Tatum, only admitting that she is a basketball fan.
Although Tatum and Mai have kept their romance under wraps, they made their first public appearance together at Michael Rubin‘s annual Fourth of July White Party in the Hamptons in July 2022.
Since then, they have continued to maintain a low profile, keeping the focus on their individual careers and family life, hence why the birth of their second child has come as a huge surprise to fans.
