And one of those phases is the full Moon, which occurs when the satellite is behind the Earth relative to the Sun and its face is fully illuminated.
Full Moons occur approximately every 29.5 days, as the Moon moves to the side of the Earth that is directly opposite the Sun, the magazine adds.
