Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy has shared details about the time he met Taylor Swift and how he did not expect the singer to know who he was.
Swift has been a semi-regular feature at Chiefs games since her relationship with tight end Travis Kelce began, and that means many members of the Chiefs squad have had the chance to meet her.
Worthy had his first proper encounter with Swift on Sunday and he was pleasantly surprised that she knew who he was whilst he was waiting to hug Travis Kelce.

The wide receiver spoke to ABC’s Fresno affiliate WFSB-TV after the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills to book their place in the Super Bowl where they will face the Philadelphia Eagles.
“I just met her. I was like, ‘Damn, she’s tall’. She’s taller than me. We were on the field and she walked right past me and said, ‘Oh you’re the one who got drafted?’ It was cool,” Worthy said.
A special location for Worthy
The Super Bowl this year is going to be held at Caesars Superdrome and that is a venue that may mean more to Worthy than it does to other Chiefs players.
In his final season with the Texas Longhorns, Worthy helped his side reach the College Football semifinals which took place at the Caesars Superdrome. Unfortunately for him, it was a day that ended in defeat against the Washington Huskies.
“I mean, wow, I was hoping to get back in there, man. Lost my last one in there. So, just get a chance at redemption…I got this picture in the end zone when I was sitting in the end zone. They’re doing, like, the ceremony. So that’s just like, my memory. Motivating. It’s my motivation,” Worthy told reporters on Thursday,” he said.
