Cardello-Smith, who was working as a bartender when he first encountered Diddy, recounted being invited to a private sex party by the rapper. He alleges that Diddy handed him a drink, cryptically mentioning it contained “a little something.” Cardello-Smith claims he lost consciousness shortly after and woke up to Diddy engaging in sexual acts with a woman.. “He looked at me and said, ‘I did this to you too!'” Cardello-Smith alleges in his complaint.
The lawsuit, demanding $400 million in damages, has been met with fierce opposition from Diddy’s legal team, who called the claims “baseless.” They argue the case is well beyond the statute of limitations and riddled with inconsistencies, including contradictory locations for the alleged incident in Cardello-Smith’s filings.
“His claims are not only untimely but implausible,” said Diddy’s attorney, adding that the plaintiff’s assertions of a government conspiracy and threats of retaliation are “conspiratorial nonsense.”
