The scandal surrounding Sean John Combs, known in the music world as Puff Daddy or Diddy, has generated a strong stir in the United States.
A case that could be traced back to the early 90’s with accusations of sexual harassment, abuse and rape at parties in which other well-known figures from the world of Hollywood and related to music would have participated.
Some already issued their suspicions about Diddy, although the most critical has always been rapper 50 Cent, who will produce a documentary for Netflix about the entire ordeal. A few months ago, the musician shared a video of Mark Curry claiming that Diddy drugged women with bottles of champagne.
“This is a story with significant human impact. It’s a complex narrative that spans decades, not just the headlines or the snippets that have been seen so far,” the singer assured about the Diddy case. He further confirmed that he remains steadfast “in our commitment to give voice to the voiceless and present authentic and nuanced perspectives.”
“While the allegations are disturbing, we urge everyone to remember that the Sean Combs story is not the entire story of hip-hop and its culture. Our goal is to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the broader contributions of the culture,” he added.
50 Cent: I’m the only one who spoke out publicly before the case came to light
Recently, in other statements from the rapper, he came back on the whole thing: “He did it! He really did. I’m the only one who spoke publicly before the case came out. In fact, I didn’t participate. I didn’t go to those parties.”
In addition, 50 Cent accused other personalities who participated in “that celebrity culture”: “I don’t care about all that crazy sh** and all that weird stuff they do.”
Finally, he pointed to a nasty episode that is somewhat lost in the recent frenzy: “If we go back to the ’90s, Keefe D said that Diddy paid him to kill 2Pac. He seems to be accused of some pretty crazy stuff.”
