Once upon a time, the literary saga of ‘The Hunger Games‘ achieved worldwide renown thanks to both the quality of the original books and the popularity and impact achieved by the different films that were responsible for bringing the original novels to the big screen, and one of the most famous names in the process was Jennifer Lawrence.
It’s logical if we take into account that the then not so well known actress played the role of Katniss Everdeen, its protagonist.
Her great presence on screen, as well as her acting skills earned her many accolades from both critics and fans of the saga in its many forms.
Jennifer Lawrence to return to play Katniss Everdeen
The actress has not forgotten that past and is still very grateful with that role.
So much so that she has confirmed that she would not mind in the least to reprise the voice of Katniss if the circumstances arise.
As she said in an interview for ‘Variety’ while promoting the new film in which she appears, ‘No Hard Feelings’, the subject came up.
“Totally! Oh my gosh,” she responded when asked if she’d play the role again.
“If only Katniss could ever come back into my life, one hundred percent.”
She loved the idea, so the doors would be more than open in case of any kind of new adaptation.
At the moment, however, this does not seem likely to happen, as ‘A Ballad of Songbirds‘, a prequel to the original books and films, is currently in production.
With that in mind, it seems unlikely that any kind of new project involving Katniss will be announced, but it would be exciting for fans and Lawrence if it were.
