The Chicago Bears continue their search for a head coach
After the Cowboys refused, the Bears continue their work to find a new head coach and, according to The Athletic, they have already interviewed Matt Campbell, head coach of Iowa State, as well as former Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel, who is also in the sights of the New England Patriots.
For Russini, the Cowboys‘ strategy with McCarthy is not the right one, because they are abandoning him to his fate in a very tough year for him, while he tries to figure out what he will do next, when he would have a good chance of getting the job in Chicago.
“I think if Mike McCarthy ends up leaving or Jerry says yes, we’re going to go in a different direction, I 100% think he has a good chance to get that job with the Chicago Bears,” Russini said.
