‘Wolf Man’ will not follow the exact same storyline as the 1941 film, which describes how a man must protect a cursed woman from the clutches of a werewolf before he turns into the creature too and wreaks havoc on a local village.
The movie set a series of genre traits for the werewolf category, including the use of silver to deter the rampant half-human carnivores and the idea that a man transforms at the sight of the moon.

Who is cast in ‘Wolf Man’ 2025?
Ryan Gosling was initially cast in the role of Blake Lovell, the main character, but stood back from the position in 2023 whilst remaining an executive producer. As a result, Christopher Abbott took over as the lead.
He will co-star with Julia Garner (Charlotte Lovell) and Matilda Firth (Ginger Lovell). Additional cast members include Sam Jaeger, Ben Prendergast, Benedict Hardie, Zac Chandler, Beatriz Romilly and Milo Cawthorne.

What is the plot of ‘Wolf Man’ 2025?
‘Wolf Man’ will differ slightly to the original film to make sure horror enthusiasts remain on their toes in front of the big screen, but the synopsis is as follows:
“Blake relocates from San Francisco to Oregon with his workaholic wife and daughter after inheriting his childhood home, left vacant following his estranged father’s mysterious disappearance and presumed death.
“At the farmhouse at night during a full moon, the family is attacked by a werewolf that claws Blake’s arm. They barricade themselves inside the home, but soon Blake begins to transform into something horrifying, jeopardizing the safety of his wife and daughter.”
