“Pawn Stars” Adam Harrison passed away on Friday, January 19th in Las Vegas shocking the fans of the show, on Monday the medical examiners determined that the cause of death of the TV star was due to a fentanyl overdose.

His father and head of the show Rick Harrison revealed his son’s cause of death to the New York Post claiming “Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,”.
Representatives of the family said that Adam had died on Friday while Rick posted a heartbreaking farewell message on Instagram “You will always be in my heart!“.
After the cause of death was revealed, he spoke about the fentanyl crisis that is storming the country “The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously, it seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”

At this time, the United States is going through the worst opioid epidemic in history from different fronts, beginning with prescription drugs such as Oxycontin which are highly addictive and are given to people as pain management medication without any guidance about how to avoid addiction.
Many like Rick believe that the problem is that the fentanyl is crossing the border illegally from Mexico, however, the reality is that most of the fentanyl is being legally imported from China and making its way to the streets illegally for recreational use.
Fentanyl is a drug used for medical purposes due to its anesthetic effects, however, it is also used on the streets to mix it with other drugs creating a deadly combination.

Adam’s brother, Corey also said his goodbyes with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram where the two were sharing a bathtub when they were babies.
“Wax wtf I will always love you bubba,” he captioned the photo.
Rick fathered Adam and Corey with his first wife, Kim while also having another son, Jake as a product of his second marriage with Tracy.
