Fans of Apple finally got confirmation on the new features that will be available in the new variants of the iPhone 15 in the tech giant’s annual September event at the Apple Park in Cupertino, California.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus specs
Apple’s new lineup of iPhone 15 variants will be available for preorder on the company’s website or in stores starting September 15th and will be arriving on September 22nd.
The iPhone 15 is available in five colors – black, blue, pink, white and yellow.
The standard iPhone 15 models include an improved camera system that will allow for better optical zoom, switching from a 12-megapixel main camera sensor to a 48-megapixel version that enables super-high-resolution photos and a new 2x Telephoto option to give users a total of three optical zoom levels.
These models will also get a processor upgrade to last year’s A16 Bionic. With two high-performance cores that use 20 percent less power and four high-efficiency cores, the 6-core CPU is faster than the previous generation and easily handles intensive tasks while delivering extraordinary battery life.
What is most talked about is the new USB-C charging/data port and the inclusion of Dynamic Island on all new models.
Apple revealed a new button on the side that can be customized to trigger a specific function.
The “Action Button”, which replaces the ring/vibrate switch, can be programmed to do a range of things from activating the camera, turning on the flashlight, starting a Voice Memo, or switching Focus modes to name a few.
iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max specs
Apple’s high-end versions of the 15 have been designed with aerospace-grade titanium that’s strong yet lightweight to deliver Apple’s lightest Pro models ever. Presale for both is starting Friday, September 15, and they will be available for purchase one week later on September 22 online and in physical stores.
One of the most impressive features is their powerful camera upgrades that enable the equivalent of seven pro lenses with incredible image quality, including a more advanced 48MP Main camera system.
There is also a next generation of portraits with Focus and Depth Control, improvements to Night mode and Smart HDR, and an all-new 5x Telephoto camera exclusively on iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Both phones are now powered by a A17 Pro chip, which Apple says has the fastest performance in any smartphone and can even challenge some high-end PCs unlocking next-level gaming experiences and pro performance for users.
The new USB C connector is supercharged with USB 3 speeds – up to 20x faster than USB 2 – and together with new video formats, enables powerful pro workflows that were not possible before.
The all-new Action button replaces the single-function switch used to toggle between ring and silent, offering additional options so users can choose between quickly accessing the camera or flashlight; activating Voice Memos, Focus modes, Translate, and accessibility features like Magnifier; or using Shortcuts for more options.
Another exciting feature is that the iPhone 15 Pro Max can give you an impressive 29 hours of video playback, while the Pro gives you up to 23 hours.
The color variations available for these versions are black, dark blue, dark gray, and light grey.
