At various events throughout the year, Apple invites the press and industry professionals to its event venue in Apple Park, Cupertino, to learn about its latest products, operating systems and services. It calls them ‘special events’ and also streams them online so that fans of its products can follow the event live.
Even in pandemic years like 2020 and 2021, Apple continued to manufacture and announce new products in a series of events that were exclusively online.
Apple Event 2023
At least three Apple events are expected this year, possibly four, one of which could be the debut of a whole new category of products closely related, most likely, to Virtual Reality.
When is Apple’s next event?
Apple has officially announced its next event. Barring any surprises, the next Apple Event will be WWDC 2023, starting with the opening keynote on June 5 and ending on June 9.
This event will focus on software news, but could also bring the expected Reality Pro headset and a new 15″ MacBook Air.
What time do Apple events start?
Apple events usually start in the early morning hours, at Apple’s headquarters in California, which is equivalent to 11:00 Mexico City time – 13:00 EDT / 10:00 PDT.
What happens at an Apple keynote?
Apple used to hold live events where the company would unveil its latest products and plans during a keynote in front of a large crowd. Post-pandemic, it doesn’t usually make them face-to-face, but that doesn’t stop it from making an impact by inviting everyone to join in a live stream.
What will Apple launch at WWDC23?
Apple always unveils its new operating systems at WWDC, i.e. iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17.
Sometimes new hardware also appears at WWDC, which is usually the most developer-friendly hardware, i.e. the “Pro” Mac models. If we don’t see the new Mac Pro and iMac in the spring, expect them to make an appearance at WWDC.
It is possible that it will announce its Mixed Reality headset at WWDC. Sometimes new devices are announced well in advance, both to avoid leaks from manufacturers and the supply chain and to give developers time to prepare.
However, we don’t expect the device to go on sale to the general public until September. They are also expected to launch their mixed reality headset. Other products that could arrive would be the new 15-inch MacBook Air and a new Mac Pro with the Apple chip.
