Tony McGregor, the father of Irish UFC star Conor McGregor, was hospitalized on Thursday following a heart attack that necessitated surgery. The 64-year-old experienced the medical emergency on Thursday morning and was promptly taken to the Hermitage Clinic, where he underwent a procedure to have a stent placed.
Tony McGregor later reassured his followers with a positive update on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself from his hospital bed, indicating that he was on the mend.
“Heart attack in the morning, stent in the afternoon, sweet (and) sour chicken in the evening,” he wrote to caption the picture.
“See ya later suckers.”

This incident occurs as his son prepares for his much-anticipated return to the UFC octagon. McGregor is scheduled to fight Michael Chandler next month, marking his first match since his defeat by Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
