Conor McGregor has always been a physical specimen. You don’t reach the pinnacle of UFC without being in incredible shape.
But with him leaving the sport in 2021, it would have been easy for McGregor to lose motivation and let his body go at least a little bit. Not quite, as the fighter-turned-businessman-turned-actor has been showing off his body transformation on social media.
How did Conor McGregor accomplish his body transformation?
McGregor is starring in the upcoming action movie, “Road House“. He will portray “Knox“, a nemesis of Jake Gylenhaal‘s character “Elwood Dalton“. The movie is a remake of the 1989 film with Patrick Swayze.
For the film, McGregor must be an emasculating figure, and he was certainly able to achieve that. In order to get the right body, McGregor did a ton of frequent weight training. The cardio was never forgotten about either.

The cardio was achieved through MMA training, but also other avenues. For instance, McGregor is a big fan of cycling. Something that he does early and often in Cannes, France.

Along with proper nutrition, McGregor was able to regain his UFC form and even surpass it while preparing for the movie. “Road House” will be out on March 8 in theaters.
