Jermell is an outstanding American fighter who has left an indelible mark on the boxing world. Born on May 19, 1990 in Lafayette, Louisiana, Charlo is known for his impressive record and skill in the ring.
With over 15 years of professional boxing experience, Charlo is especially known for his dominance in the super welterweight division.
He is a former world champion in the category and has successfully defended his titles on multiple occasions.

Has Jermell Charlo lost before?
Charlo has a professional record of 35-1-1, with 19 wins by way of knockout.
He was crowned world champion for the first time in 2016, when he defeated John Jackson for the vacant WBC 154-pound crown. He defended it three times until suffering the first loss of his professional career.
The only setback of his career came on December 22, 2018. He lost by unanimous decision to Tony Harrison at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Far from seeing his career fall, he came back stronger and a year later took revenge on Harrison, whom he knocked out in 11 rounds to regain the WBC super welterweight world championship title.
That triumph propelled him to achieve other goals such as becoming the undisputed champion of the division, first with a win over Jason Rosario to win the IBF and WBA titles.
In his first attempt to win the WBO title he failed against Brian Castano, as they drew in July 2021, but in his second fight he knocked him out in 10 rounds to finally win the four titles.
This Saturday he will have one more challenge, against an opponent two divisions higher, but Jermell Charlo believes he has the skills to beat Canelo Alvarez and add four more belts to his resume.
