UFC star Conor McGregor has been banned from driving for two years after Irish police caught him piloting his Bentley Continental GT in a dangerous manner on the motorway back in 2022.
The ex-lightweight champion of the world has been handed a five-month suspended sentence and a $5,411 fine and an additional $1082, as well as the ban following charges brought against him connected to a March 22, 2022, incident on the N4/M50 interchange in Dublin.
It’s the Notorious’ second ban for driving offenses following 2018 incident worth six months, that saw him caught speeding 1.5x the Irish speed limit outside of Dublin, during which he was using a mobile phone, entering a bus lane and parking on double-yellow lines, all whilst only carrying a provisional license.

The verdict at Blanchardstown District Court comes after he had to cancel his return to Dana White’s UFC competition against Michael Chandler upon sustaining a broken toe.
It would have marked his first fight in the Octagon since his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and what would have been just his fourth fight since the start of 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic ravaged the world.
“Very tough to be ruled out of my scheduled return bout,” McGregor said at the time. “The decision to postpone the fight was not made lightly, but one made in consultation with my doctors, the UFC, and my team.
“My fans and opponent deserve me at my best for this fight and we will get there! Thank you for the messages of support, I am in good spirits and confident I’ll be back!”
But the UFC is not eager to rest on its laurels and there are already talks of a new date for McGregor’s much-anticipated return, as he said UFC 310 on December 14 would be a good date for him.
