Lions crush Vikings for NFC’s top seed
The game, a battle between divisional rivals, saw the Lions needing a victory to clinch the NFC’s #1 seed. Meanwhile, Minnesota, led by an inspired Sam Darnold, hoped to play spoiler.
Unfortunately for the Vikings and coach Kevin O’Connell, the Lions lived up to their billing as the NFL’s best team. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs stole the show, racking up four total touchdowns in Detroit’s commanding 31-9 win.
