Donald Trump has started the massive wave of deportations, according to several reports last Sunday, January 26, up to 926 people were arrested, the highest number since Trump returned to the presidency.
Little by little, these planes of immigrants are arriving in certain countries, while Selena Gomez filmed herself to upload a video on Instagram stories on the subject, where she was moved by the Mexicans who were deported.
“All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise,” Gomez said in the video as she sobbed.
Minutes later, Selena received some negative comments and dedicated another story to her haters: “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people,” she wrote with a black background.
Selena eventually deleted the stories.

The social media community discussed the issue, which generated a certain reaction on both sides. This is probably why Selena Gomez decided to delete the stories from her Instagram account.

She can still feel sorry for herself because what’s going on is horrible. Have some compassion for what’s going on and the victims that are being deported. She did nothing wrong,” one user commented.
Donald Trump ready to deport more people
The president of the United States will continue with his plan, no matter what. Some countries, such as Colombia,refused to receive immigrants by plane, something that greatly annoyed Trump.
On this occasion, Trump requested sanctions against countries that do not accept deportees in an irregular situation. Colombia and the United States had a small problem with this, but the Colombians eventually agreed.
The BBC, citing the Migration Policy Institute, says that former President Joe Biden deported 1.5 million people in his first four years, and that these numbers are “very similar to the era of deportations during Trump’s first term.”
