After her husband Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams were eliminated in a tight divisional round loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Kelly Stafford has found herself switching allegiances for the remainder of the NFL season. This time, she’s backing the Buffalo Bills and their star quarterback, Josh Allen.
In a recent episode of her podcast, The Morning After with Kelly Stafford and Hank, Stafford explained her decision, offering an adorable and heartfelt reason for her support.
“I’m going to root for the Bills. I like Josh Allen. He is a little like Matthew. He might be playing through some injuries that we don’t know about. He’s tough, he’s smart, and adorable. He’s getting married. Why not root for Josh Allen?” she shared.
Why Josh Allen?
For Kelly, Allen‘s personality and leadership style align with the qualities she admires in her own husband, Matthew. She noted that Allen is calm, composed, and consistently follows the rules, which are all traits she values in a quarterback.

Furthermore, she sees a strong sense of accountability in Allen-he takes responsibility for both wins and losses, a characteristic that she believes makes him the perfect leader.
Kelly even expressed confidence that Allen and the Bills can overcome the odds. Despite the challenges Buffalo has faced against the Kansas City Chiefs in recent playoff matchups, Kelly believes they have what it takes to succeed.
She previously predicted that the winner of the Bills vs. Ravens divisional round matchup would ultimately go on to win the Super Bowl.
This would mean that she turns her back on Taylor Swift, whose boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is a star of the Kansas City Chiefs. It should be noted that Stafford’s daughters are huge Swift fans, having attended one of her Eras Tour concerts.
The road to the Super Bowl is no easy feat for the Bills, especially with the Chiefs standing in the way. Kansas City has won eight consecutive playoff games, and Patrick Mahomes has established himself as a postseason performer.
The Chiefs have defeated the Bills three times in the playoffs, including two wins in the divisional round and one in the AFC Championship.
With history not in their favor, the Bills‘ chance at redemption will depend on overcoming the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium-a feat they’ve yet to achieve.
