Dmitry Bivol faced the most difficult moment of his career on October 12, when he lost his unbeaten record in his attempt to become the undisputed light heavyweight champion against his compatriot, Russian Artur Beterbiev.
While there were people who supported Bivol for his spectacular 23-0 performance with 12 knockouts, until that moment, with brilliant victories over fighters such as Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez or Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez, in reality Beterbiev showed his great talent and experience, despite being a veteran, who recovered from a serious knee injury.
Thus, Bivol and Beterbiev gave a great fight that was decided in a close majority decision and in recognition of his career, the government of Kyrgyzstan, his native country, gave him a spectacular four-wheeled gift, a classic Rolls Royce, after becoming the first boxer to go the distance with Beterbiev, who had a perfect streak of 20 knockouts in 20 fights.

Bivol showed off his beautiful new gold-colored vehicle on Wednesday, which was a direct gift from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, with a post on his Instagram account, in his first public appearance following the fight against Beterbiev.
In the images, Bivol posed next to the vehicle, a Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II vintage 1977 model, golden in color, with the Kyrgyzstan flag on its license plate.
The president’s son, Rustam Zhaparov, presented the gift to the fighter, in a moment he shared in an Instagram story. In the clip, the politician’s son mentions an emotional message of recognition for his career: “From the heart to my brother, the champion, from our Sadyr Nurgozhoevich,” while handing him the keys to the vehicle, in front of a group of people who applauded for the emotional moment.
Bivol later shared a video reviewing the interior of his new gift, beginning to enjoy the experience and confirmed this by looking at the camera, with a big smile of satisfaction.
In the few seconds that the video lasts, it can be seen that the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow has a classic interior with brown leather seats and some luxurious details, such as tinted glass and comfortable interior space.
What’s next for Dmitry Bivol?
Bivol, 33, is currently in negotiations for his next fight, either a direct rematch against Beterbiev, after he gracefully accepted defeat, or the long-awaited rematch against Canelo Alvarez. In the meantime, he returned to the gym in anticipation of his next challenge.
Everything indicates that the immediate objective is the rematch against Beterbiev, a 39-year-old veteran, so the fight would have to take place soon, before the clock runs out on the undisputed champion, in a negotiation that has the support of the Arab boxing sheikh, Turki Alalshikh.
However, for logistical reasons, the Riyadh season will end in February, so this rematch could not take place until October 2025, when the Riyadh season officially begins, to see this clash. According to promoter Bob Arum, His Excellency does not plan to stage fights outside of Riyadh during this period, or at any other time.
This would force both fighters to look for fights against other opponents in the first half of the year. For example, German Michael Eifert is mentioned as a possible opponent for Beterbiev, while Eddie Hearn has not revealed any name for Bivol.
