LeBron James has been one of the most talked about athletes in the United States ever since he stepped foot on a basketball court in high school. Perhaps the most hyped high school player ever, James turned it into one of the best NBA careers of all-time. In order to craft and hold that legacy, he needed help along the way. Savannah James was there for almost every step.
The two met during their high school days at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio. Together, they have three children: Bronny, Bryce and Zhuri. The high school sweethearts married in September of 2013, long after the birth of their children. In a way, Savannah was kind of the unsung hero of the family, and didn’t get much media attention. But that has changed in recent years, with 2024 being a big one for her brand name.
She launched her “Everybody’s Crazy” podcast in April of this year, and has been much more active on social media and in public appearances. Her friends and family have been right behind her in support, but one friend in particular surprised some fans. James recently posted a photo on Instagram, and La La Anthony left a comment.

La La is the ex-wife of Carmelo Anthony, one of the best NBA players in recent history and one of LeBron’s closest friends. LeBron and Carmelo were drafted in the same class in 2003 and were part of the “banana boat crew“, a group of friends that consisted of James, Anthony, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade.
Carmelo and La La divorced in 2021 after years of an “on and off again” situation. There were rumors of infidelity, and ultimately they called it quits. Considering how close LeBron and Carmelo are, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Savannah and La La didn’t speak much, but it seems like the latter is still keeping tabs on her friend.
