The lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon continues to make headlines. After almost a year without any mention as such, this time the plaintiff has named wrestler Brock Lesnar as part of the investigation.
The former WWE employee has officially identified Brock Lesnar in the federal lawsuit she filed against the company and former executive Vince McMahon in January 2024. There had been a lot of talk that it was Brock, but nothing was official until the last few days.
Brock Lesnar disappeared from WWE programming in the summer of 2023, he was planning to return to the professional wrestling company in 2024, his plans were to fight Dominik Mysterio in Elimination Chamber and face Gunther at Wrestlemania 40, but everything was canceled when the lawsuit came to light.
More details on the accusations
For this issue, we have to go back to 2024 when everything exploded. Janel Grant has sued Vince McMahon for sexual abuse and exploitation. She alleges that Vince seduced her with promises of promotions and better pay, but in reality he sexually exploited her along with other executives.
According to the lawsuit, in June 2021, McMahon and John Laurinaitis locked her in a WWE office. On another day, Vince forced her into his locker room and then gave her $15,000 in gift cards. Grant’s attorney, Ann Callis, says the lawsuit seeks to hold McMahon, Laurinaitis and WWE accountable for allowing and covering up the abuse.
Grant also accuses McMahon of sharing photos and videos of her without permission and using her to negotiate contracts. Eventually, after McMahon’s wife found out, she was forced to resign and sign a nondisclosure agreement with the promise of $3 million, which she never received.
These are the latest developments revealed just days before Royal Rumble 2025, where more than 100 pages of evidence were gathered:
- Brock Lesnar is officially named in the suit.
- Vince allegedly used her as a sexual bargaining chip to sign contracts.
- There is a text message in which Vince fantasizes about seeing Janel Grant destroyed by a group of men.
- Pictures of Grant naked without consent.
- Vince, according to the lawsuit, asked the victim to create pornographic content for several people, including Michael Hayes.
- Texts and audios are submitted as evidence.
Vince McMahon denies everything
The former president of WWE was forced to sell the company, he returned in another role, but when everything came to light again last year, he immediately resigned and sold all his shares in the company.
His lawyer and Vince have decided not to speak publicly about this case, only defending themselves when it became public. The WWE, now with Nick Khan at the helm, has not spoken about this case either.
A year ago, Triple H was asked about the situation at a press conference and he was very angry. From that moment on, the press never asked him about the lawsuit against Vince, his father-in-law.
