The John Wick franchise is already amongst the most exciting and successful in the action genre with Keanu Reeves creating a character that will live in people’s memories forever. From that came a number of different spin off series and movies as well. Recently, the Peacock network released ‘The Continental‘ series that wasn’t as successful as it was expected. In the works, we have the ‘Ballerina’ spin off movie starring Ana de Armas and Reeves returning to reprise his rola as John Wick. But according to Daniel RPK, there is already a John Wick 5 film in the early stages of planning with Keanu returning to reprise his role as the titular character who started it all. For starters, the new John Wick 5 film will begin production in 2025 and it has a potential release date for late 2026. Reeves will return to reprise his role and that’s about all the information we have at the moment. Reeves has been asked multiple times if he would do sequels to other films he stars on, this one is one of the most popular he has under his belt but there are a few more franchises he’s been a part of in the past. During an interview with Stephen Colbert, he did say he wanted to return to film the John Constantine sequel and there was a recent announcement that it will happen sometime in the future. Hopefully, that sequel is as successful as the John Wick series.

The positive aspect of the John Wick franchise is that the production cost has almost never surpassed $100 million We know that the first one was wild success with a $20,000,000 budged and it made $86 million at the worldwide box office. John Wick: Chapter 2 had a $40,000,000 production budget and it made a whopping $171.5 million at the global box office. Chapter 3 had a $75 million budget and it made an impressive $327.7 million at the global box office. Lastly, Chapter 4 had a $100 million production budget and it made an impressive $440 million at the global box office.
