Two-time NBA champion Chris Bosh announced on Monday that he will no longer pursue a return to the NBA.
During an episode of "The Bill Simmons Podcast," Bosh passed on the idea of returning to the hardwood before retiring.
Bosh, 34, hasn't appeared in an NBA game since the 2015-16 season. He said that he plans on officially retiring on March 26, when the Miami Heat will retire the 11-time All-Star's No. 1 jersey.
"That part of my life is over," Bosh said. "That has been a tough thing to deal with but I'm good, which has taken a long time [for me to accept]. … I could have kept playing. But man, that time has passed. I've made the decision not to pursue it anymore."
In 2017, the Heat waived Bosh after shutting him down due to a blood clot issue known as pulmonary embolism.
He played 13 seasons, including five with the Raptors prior to be traded to the Heat in 2010.
