Blake Lively made her first public appearance amid ongoing controversy surrounding the film “It Ends With Us.”
The 36-year-old actress was seen sharing a romantic moment with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, during a pool party at Taylor Swift‘s Rhode Island mansion this past Saturday.
Lively, dressed in floral shorts and a coral bikini top, was photographed kissing Reynolds, who was casually dressed in a pink shirt and a blue cap. This outing marked the first time Lively has been seen publicly since becoming embroiled in several recent controversies.
One of the controversies stems from a resurfaced 2016 interview in which Lively made a remark to Norwegian journalist Kjersti Flaa that has since sparked backlash.
During the interview, Lively commented on what she assumed was a “bump” after the reporter congratulated her on her pregnancy.
However, Flaa was not pregnant at the time and later revealed that she suffers from infertility, describing the exchange as deeply uncomfortable.
Rumors of tension with co-star
Lively has also faced renewed scrutiny over past comments that have resurfaced, including the use of derogatory language in interviews. These resurfaced remarks have added fuel to rumors of tension between Lively and her “It Ends With Us” co-star, Justin Baldoni.
Insiders have claimed that Lively and Baldoni clashed on the set, with reports suggesting that Baldoni made Lively feel uneasy, particularly regarding her post-pregnancy body.
Their on-set disagreements reportedly extended to creative differences, with Lively allegedly taking issue with certain aspects of the film’s direction.
Baldoni, who directed the film, has hinted that Lively might be better suited to direct any potential sequel, although it remains uncertain whether he will be involved in future projects related to the film.
