Former boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather is not stopping in making business and million-dollar investments after his recent real estate acquisition of $402 million in New York, now he has upped the ante by getting into a $10 billion project.
On October 16, ‘Money’ closed a deal to acquire more than 60 buildings that will provide more than 1,000 affordable housing units, making it one of the largest transactions in the city in 2024.
Essentially Sports published a report from his spokesman and Mark Karasick, managing member of 601W Companies, who noted Mayweather’s new investment in a $10 billion portfolio comprising 18 office buildings spread over 10 million square feet.
According to real estate news outlet The Real Deal Real Estate News, a source told them that this could be Mayweather‘s biggest investment in his life, with which he would become a partner owner of several properties in New York, Chicago and Jersey City.

The properties that Mayweather acquired last month are located in Upper Manhattan, and are an example of the former boxer’s continued commitment to making dreams come true.
After retiring with a 50-0 record and earning hundreds of millions in high-profile fights, his net worth is estimated at $1.2 billion, placing him among the richest athletes in the world.
It was not ‘Money’s’ first foray into the New York real estate market. He previously partnered with SL Green Realty to invest in nine skyscrapers and is also involved in its proposal to develop a casino in Times Square.
“SL Green is a company that I’ve worked with for many years, and Andrew Mathias is a great businessman,” Mayweather said on the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast.
