Animal control officials found his body when they visited his home. The musician’s body, as explained by the police, was in an advanced state of decomposition. Officers have so far ruled out a violent death as the cause of his death.
Authorities have found no signs of violence in his home and all his belongings are still in place. Doctors are analysing the evidence and investigating what happened to establish an official version. The last time Bob Bryar was seen alive was on November 4, so it is not ruled out that the former My Chemical Romance drummer had been dead in his home for several days.
Bob Bryar was the longest-serving drummer in the group: he joined the band in 2004, replacing Matt Pelissier, and the news of his departure, something that shocked the group’s followers, was made public in March 2010. According to TMZ, the musician confessed to having suicidal thoughts after leaving My Chemical Romance. Police have not mentioned at any time that the drummer decided to take his own life.
