Jake Paul says he hopes Dana White didn’t lose $250 million dollars because they don’t get along, after the MMA CEO shut down talk of a fight night between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul.
The 36-year-old from Dublin is contracted to the UFC and thus can only fight with the approval of the organization, which was not forthcoming after White bluntly said no when asked about the potential scrap on the Pardon My Take podcast.
It could cost all parties a cut of over an astonishing $500m in projected revenue, but the 55-year-old businessman isn’t interested. As a result, Paul subtly suggested he should reconsider the call.
“Dana White didn’t let Conor fight Logan because of his hatred for me,” Jake posted to X.com, formerly Twitter. “Haha. I hope this is BS. Can’t be that petty, can he?”
It’s no secret that the business magnate and the 28-year-old aren’t on the best of terms after the YouTuber-turned-boxer decided to begin petitioning for increased pay to the competitors in the MMA series.
Paul was then subsequently banned from UFC events, and had to miss the 306 clash between Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili in September 2024, only for him to ignore the exodus by sneaking into the Las Vegas sphere in disguise.
Paul vs McGregor’s latest battle
However, the feud does not extend to the other Paul brother, Logan, who has been described as brilliant by White. White does maintain he has nothing against either though, crediting Jake’s business career choices.
The latest explosion could come after Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20 after the Pauls and McGregor met but the parlay between the trio didn’t last long when the ex-UFC champion took to social media to call the pair out.
Jake Paul then hit back by saying, “”My guy… you are a total clown. You don’t control your own career.
“The conductor decides what you do and don’t do, and you bow and say, ‘Thank you for the payment, sir.'”
