McDonald’s has different colors in different countries, with Europe getting a distinct image from the United States.
The characteristic letter M shares the yellow color around the globe, but the background of the box has shifted to green in Europe, while it remains red in the United States.
Why is the McDonald’s logo green in Europe?
The change of McDonald’s to green outside the USA is a strategy that has been implemented throughout Europe, according to company sources.
This represents a change of direction that the brand has taken in Europe, with which they intend to reposition themselves as a company with a healthier and more eco-friendly attitude, in tune with the new times.
Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Spain were the pioneering countries in this movement.
It is a step that seeks to soften the traditional image of the brand, associated with ‘junk food’ and also associated with the increase in childhood obesity, considered by the WHO as one of the world’s top concerns.
