Prince William was busy taking care of royal business on Thursday after he visited Toxteth, Liverpool to speak with members of the Tiber Young People’s Steering Group.
The visit was an eventful one for the Prince of Wales as he spoke with some of the youths about the opportunities the group affords them before taking part in a friendly game of soccer with them.
Before that he spent time with the local primary school children from the Princes Primary School and English Martyrs Catholic Primary School.
The visit was a memorable one as William was then gifted with three envelopes, though it was explained to him that they were actually for his children: Prince George, Princes Charlotte and Prince Louis.
What was in the envelopes?
Inside, each envelope contained a 10 pound note and details about how they could take part in a ‘Smile Challenge’. The goal is to try and make someone smile without actually handing them the cash.
The challenge was warmly received by William, who thanked the children.
“This one will be a good one for Louis, he needs a good challenge. That’s very kind of you, thank you very much,” he said.
Later the children told William they couldn’t remember what they learned that day, which is something he’s heard before.
“I ask my children this every day and they always say absolutely nothing at all,” he said.
William is no stranger to talking about his children while out on royal duties. Earlier this month he met with Aston Villa fans and explained to them how he got Prince George to support them rather than Chelsea.
“George is a Villa fan, and we asked about the rest of the children. He said he wouldn’t force a football team onto them as long as it wasn’t Chelsea because all the people around him are Chelsea fans,” William told Darren Johnson.
