At 11 years old, George will need to change schools after 2026, as Lambrook only accommodates students up to the age of 13. As George‘s time at Lambrook comes to an end, Princess Kate is reportedly weighing various options for his next educational steps.
Potential schools for Prince George
Prince George currently attends Lambrook School in Berkshire, where he is joined by his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Lambrook, a co-educational day school, serves children from ages three to 13. However, since George is nearing the upper age limit of the school, Princess Kate has begun to explore other institutions for his future.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the Princess of Wales was seen visiting University College School (UCS) in Hampstead during the Christmas break, a prestigious private school with tuition fees of £10,000 per term.
In the same week, Highgate School, located just two miles away from UCS, also hosted a “special VIP visitor,” thought to have been Princess Kate. These visits suggest that Kate is keen to find the perfect fit for George, taking into account his educational needs and family preferences.
Despite exploring various options, Princess Kate is reportedly eager to ensure that all three of her children attend the same school.
One prominent contender is Marlborough College, her former school, located in Wiltshire. Known for its academic excellence, the co-educational boarding school costs £59,000 per year, making it one of the most expensive institutions in the country.
Marlborough College could potentially offer a solution for both George and his younger siblings. The school’s boarding options and strong academic reputation make it an attractive choice for the Wales family, and it has been suggested that George has already been offered a place there, along with a house for the family.
