According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Brown alleges that the producers of the docuseries engaged in libel and intentional infliction of emotional distress by airing what he describes as defamatory claims. He argues that the series relied on the previously dismissed Jane Doe lawsuit, which he asserts was “full of lies.”
Brown contends that the producers were aware of the inaccuracies in their narrative, alleging they had received “proof” that the claims were baseless but chose to proceed with the docuseries nonetheless.
Since its release in October 2024, Brown claims that the docuseries has severely damaged his reputation and career. He accused Warner Bros. and Ample of deliberately attempting to defame him at a time when he has been working hard to rebuild his public persona. In a notable gesture, Brown pledged to donate a portion of the $500 million he seeks in damages to sexual abuse victims if awarded, highlighting his commitment to addressing broader issues surrounding abuse and accountability.
