Taylor Swift was recently in the news following the emergence of a series of grossly inappropriate AI-generated images appearing online that both crossed the moral boundary of social acceptability and now history is repeating itself as Antonio Brown shares another AI-generated photo of the pop star.
Back then, the first scandal showed Swift in a series of sexual positions and suggestive behaviors whilst wearing a bunch of Kansas City Chiefs’ gear. The account that uploaded them to X.com, formerly Twitter, was quickly shut down once Swift‘s fans caught wind of it.
How have fans reacted?
What Brown has done isn’t quite as scandalous but it still crosses the realms of what is right to do with the developing technology as he posted a photo of the pair French kissing in front of a crowd and social media has, understandably, gone crazy about the image.
Swift likely won’t publicly react to it, that didn’t happen with the previous incident, but her legal team are known to try to shut this sort of thing down and her fans are definitely not afraid of going after someone crossing personal boundaries, and many people warned Brown of that.
“Yeah bro swifties are coming for you,” one user wrote on X.
“Oh it’s so over for AB [Brown],” said a second user.
“Swifties coming for AB,” noted a third, featuring a clip from The Simpsons Movie of a mob with fire-lit torches.
“That lawsuit will hit harder than Burfict,” commented a fourth.
The Burfict reference refers to a big hit Brown took in the 2016 AFC wildcard game by the Cincinnati Bengals‘ Vantaze Burfict.
So far, due to the recency of the technology, there isn’t much legal guidance for controlling AI images and the types of content people can produce, even if they are of other, real people and can carry substantial impact.
As a result, Swift might find her work cut out if she decided to legally pursue this although she might be capable of scaring Brown into his wits by making him delete the social media post.
