Liverpool have enjoyed a good record in terms of injuries this season, but one player who’s struggled for fitness is Diogo Jota, who only recently returned from injury ago but has gone down again for a few weeks with another muscle injury. Slot said Darwin Nunez would take Jota’s place in the depth chart, but it’s Luis Diaz who starts up front.
Curtis Jones will miss out after being substituted at halftime during the midweek win over Lille, while Joe Gomez is recovering from a hamstring issue.
Another question for Slot is who to start at left-back, with Kostas Tsimikas performing well while Andy Robertson has been struggling for form.
