The 2025 Polynesian Bowl is upon us and packed with a roster full of five-star recruits.
Now in its eighth year, the Polynesian Bowl primarily features the nation’s top high school football players of Polynesian and Samoan descent. Notable stars like Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, Chargers linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu and 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter have competed in past games.
This year’s roster is an historic one for the yearly high school all-star game, as a record 11 five-star recruits will take the field Friday night in Hawai’i. Among those recruits is David Sanders, Jr., the top offensive tackle in this class. Committed to Tennessee, Sanders went through College Football Playoff practice with the Volunteers.
Gary Kubiak and Ron Rivera will be the two head coaches for this year’s game. Kubiak will lead Team Makai, while Rivera will lead Team Mauka.
